A Little Beer and A Little Beauty

Still needing something else to countdown to our big trip; I decided each week I’m going to try a new nail polish and a new beer. Crazy, I know. Wait, it gets crazier, I will only be selecting colors from the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear color collection. As if all this weren’t exciting enough–it kicked off on a Monday night…and I had two beers.

I kid, because, my tolerance level has dropped significantly since I bid adieu to my twenties. That and the ability to stay up past 11 PM on a work night (or any night). So having two beers on a Monday is like bonafide party time. I know, I have got some training to do if I am going to survive Oktoberfest. Serious training.

This week I introduce you to Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue 420 and Trader Joe’s Bohemian Lager. If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s in your area, I feel sorry for you. It is seriously (in my opinion) the godsend of all grocery stores. I liked the Bohemian Lager. I’ve read really mixed reviews about it on other blogs, but for me it got the job done. A crisp pilsner that went really well with dinner that night: salad and bread. I am a real whiz in the kitchen. Best of all, a six pack is under $7. It’s a light, simple beer, nothing fancy, but sometimes that’s what I prefer.

The Pacific Blue 420…well, it’s loud and it’s blue. That’s really all I can say about it.

I will admit, I’m actually posting this a week late. Pacific Blue was last week’s color, this week I’ve moved on to Sun Kissed 120. Don’t let the name fool you. I will give you this little nugget of a preview: the color is so offensive, it already had to come off my fingers. It is however, still lingering on my toes. Oh, a cliffhanger! A real nail biter…

Okay, with that…

Cheers for now!
